To design and model a free standing emergency medical clinic that can serve the medical needs of the community.
Specifications
- EMC must be located in an area of medical need
- EMC must not be in close vicinity to a hospital
- EMC must be located on a main road
- EMC must have handicap accessibility
- EMC must have ambulance parking area with easy access to the building
- EMC must meet all building codes of the state and local government
- EMC must be self sufficient
- EMC must be designed with space efficiency
- EMC must have a trauma center
- EMC must have an X-Ray and radiology set up.
- EMC must have a waiting room
- EMC must have sufficient storage for files
- EMC must have doctors offices
- EMC must have a dark room
- EMC must have biohazard waste removal
- EMC must have billing management
- EMC must have storage
- EMC must have boiler room
- EMC must have radiant resistant glass
- EMC must have at least six examination rooms
- EMC must have sufficient parking
Limitations
- EMC must not exceed the plot of land chosen
- EMC must not break any building codes set forth by town chosen
- EMC must not exceed capacity for available parking
- EMC must not have adverse impact on traffic volumes and patterns
- EMC must not have adverse impact on noise volumes in neighborhood
- EMC must not have adverse impact on environment and surrounding natural resources
- Construction of EMC must not exceed available supplies
